Double Holiday Cheer

I just got back from a little pre-Christmas vacation and I was unable to keep up with the blog this week. One thing I didn't neglect while I was gone was the winning!

Monday we cashed in nicely on the Panthers. The running attack mauled the Bucs defense.

Thursday we cashed again on the Bears/Saints Over. That one actually took us the entire regulation to win but the CashCrimson faithful were counting their winnings before the start of OT.

Too bad the Falcons couldn't win by more than the three point line on Sunday or we could've been 3-0 instead of 2-0-1 during my hiatus. Nonetheless, it was an undefeated Christmas Vacation... congratulations!

It's Just Business

Sonny, Sonny, you gotta calm down. You're taking this personal. It's just business.

Am I a HUGE Alabama fan? Yes. Is Alabama my Alma Mater? Yes. Is my pen name CashCrimson after the Crimson Tide? Yes. Did I advise my devoted fans to take Florida in the SEC Championship and cash in big time? Yes.

You can't mix business with pleasure and you can't bet strictly on emotion. Too many rookie gamblers lose their shirts betting on their home teams.

I received disappointing emails from several of my readers. It seems they made a grave mistake. When they saw my pending Florida /Alabama pick on Youcapper, they tried to save 25 bucks by assuming my pick was Alabama. My condolences go out to all of you. I know you lost a lot more than $25 on that mistake.

Congratulations to all of you who spent the $25 and had a terrific Saturday afternoon. The cash continued to flow.

Hand Caught in the Cookie Jar

After watching other competitors cash in on afternoon soccer to gain two winning picks a day, I rolled the dice on Sturm Graz in the ESPN Streak for the Cash contest. Unfortunately, they were upset by the powerful LASK Linz 1-0 in the Austrian Bundesliga (whatever that is).

73.4% of the picks were on Sturm Graz and gauging from the past few days, I thought that might be enough of a factor. Oh well, I got my money in on a coin flip and got drawn out on.

I'm back to zero but not for long. From now on I'll stick to the American sports... preferably ones with shoulder pads and helmets.

The Million Dollar Find

I have to hand it to you guys, you're pretty resourceful. I never know what to expect when I open my emails.

I just received an email from Andrew, a CashCrimson follower who was able to make money tonight on a play I DIDN'T EVEN RELEASE!

In his email Andrew wrote "I thought for sure you would've had a pick for tonight with both an NFL and college game on the board. While I was checking for it, I searched around the web and found your under play on the Chargers game. I bet it and won too!"

Pretty good detective work Andrew! For those of you who think I'm holding out on you don't worry. I was encouraged by one of my fans to give the ESPN Streak For The Cash Contest a try. The first contestant to win 25 games straight wins a million dollars. I'm getting a very late start but we'll see how I do. So far I'm three days in and I'm 3-0... only 22 to go.

It seems Andrew looked CashCrimson up on ESPN and found that I was in the contest and on the under 42 Chargers/Raiders for tonight. I was certain the Raiders would show no heart after being mathematically eliminated this weekend but the poor showing by the Chargers against Atlanta on Sunday told me they no longer deserve our money.

I'm Seeing Double!

From time to time, I get bumped from the top spot on Youcapper. When I sit at #2 I like to guess how long it will take until I'm back on top. Usually it's less than a week and the new hot shot and his 30 picks a night fades away. This time I have to say I'm intrigued.

Biggest Internet Loser Award

This goes out to user "Dabears" on the same forum as my last post. I've included a pic of his avatar as well. I can't replicate it perfectly because he has an animated gif going on. That's the first sign of how big of a tool he is.

I actually feel bad for this guy. He's had so much nonsense to say during my short period on that site that there's too much to mention. Maybe we can start to raise money to get him out of the house once and a while. He's so jealous of Cash Crimson I think I should try to help him.

The Cappers Forum Review

I tried out a new posting site today because I figured I could touch the lives of even more uncertain gamblers. Unfortunately, I ran into so many pus*ies I thought I was on a porn site.

It was on "The Cappers Forum." I started out with a joke about Caitlin Davis (the recently fired but hot Patriots cheerleader) and since I made the joke a week after her firing, I quickly realized that the joke was way too old for the bunch of angry "house posters." This site is such a joke. Just a bunch of idiots collaborating all day long about who to bet.

Miami, Arizona, Cincy, K.C, Buffalo and the Rams. Tell me a good win in there outside MAYBE Arizona and that iffy. They have already lost AT HOME to the Pats. Its going to be windy and rainy... "

That's his opinion and he's entitled to it. I felt however the need to remind him that the Patriots' wins this season have also come from weak teams.

A Bride, A Groom & A Three Team Box?

I just opened a very special email sent to me by a sweatheart named Pam. It seems her sister Jessica's big day got a little bit bigger on October 24th. Not only did she wed the man of her dreams Jason but it just so happens that they will be moving into their dream home thanks to CashCrimson.

Charting Your Overall Performance

I've been using Youcapper to chart my performance for some time now. I like that they have the TruFigure. They don't tell you this (because they pretend they're not a gambling site) but I've worked it out that it's exactly equal the amount you would be up or down if you bet $100 a game. You should check it out.


While there, you'll notice that I'm currently listed as the top handicapper using the TruFigure. That makes me the best sports handicapper on the site. They've recently switched the leaderboards to reflect winning percentage first, then the TruFigure. Either way, I'm selling a good amount of picks and getting my performance charted for free.
